Creating Change: The Founding Members' Social Impact Journey

Additional projects during the pandemic included:

  • Chemotherapy support for a jaw cancer patient.
  • Providing groceries to impacted communities.
  • Direct financial aid to 15 families to stimulate their family-run fishing business and encourage long-term sustainability.

The founding members wanted to continue coordinated work with all their partner non-profit organizations that came together during the pandemic with one common goal to help those who need it the most.

This foundation is named after Saraswati Acharya and Saraswati Panda, the mothers of Drs. Bharati Panda and Ramesh Chandra Panda respectively, parents of Dr. Tapti Panda

While the former had access to educational opportunities, the latter was not so fortunate and had to single-handedly supported her family. However, each woman instilled the value of independence, empathy, and education in their children. On these ideals, SNEHA was built to promote health and education for women in need.

After the impact of the BreatheIndia project, several individuals and organizations independently reached out for support, highlighting a great need in many communities. SNEHA seeks to unite the goals of several organizations by providing a channel through which funds and advocacy can flow.
